The Glam Mommy - Why walk when you can run...

So my son Tommy is 15 months old. He has been walking for about 3-4 weeks now. I cant believe it !!! Little by little he figured out how to stand up, fall down, and take those first steps. Now he is cruising around the house like a pro ! The tricky part is that he loves his new independence, but still has restrictions..... My job has now become cop lol All I do is follow him around ( great for the days i don't get to the gym) and say good job !, this way, and no you can go there/ do that. And on rainy days... forget it !! I feel so bad because all he wants to do is run around the house outside. Rainy day = cranky baby. The other side of this is that i feel bad that i can not provide more indoor ( and outdoor) toys for him to keep busy with. We have recently hit some hard financial times and we have to work with a VERY small budget. On nice days we are able to go to the park, take walks and keep very busy. But on rainy days...forget it..... poor baby gets board QUICK !!! SO i have been on the hunt for great, inexpensive ways to keep my lil guys busy and on the move on rainy days. And so i don't feel so bad always having to say no !
